Sava Ball Auction

Hofburg Palace, Vienna, Austria

January 31, 2025

I was deeply proud and grateful to have had the opportunity to exhibit my paintings at the prestigious St. Sava’s Ball 2025 in Vienna, and to lend my support to this remarkable event. My heartfelt thanks went to the organizers for their dedication, effort, and trust.

Organized by the Serbian Centre in Vienna, the traditional 26th St. Sava’s Ball took place on January 31, 2025. In addition to the festive ballroom atmosphere, the event once again carried a strong humanitarian mission.

Held in the magnificent Hofburg Palace, in the heart of the Austrian capital, the St. Sava’s Ball was one of more than 400 balls that make up Vienna’s famous ball season. Through this distinguished event, the Serbian community proudly took its place on Vienna’s cultural map. The very name of the Ball reflected its connection to the St. Sava celebrations, honoring the spirit of unity, culture, and compassion.

That year’s humanitarian initiative raised funds for the purchase and renovation of a new home for Ljiljana Dukić, a single mother from Obrenovac, and her three daughters. The charitable segment of the 26th St. Sava’s Ball was organized in cooperation with the renowned humanitarian organization Serbs for Serbs.

All those who wished to support this noble cause were invited to participate in the art auction, with all proceeds going to the Dukić family.

At the Ball, I presented my paintings of Vojvodina, my “Homeland” — artworks and memories that connected me to my childhood: our cornfields, farmsteads, horses, Zobnatica, and sailing.
