Donation to the Charity “Svići u Mraku”
I gave one of my paintings to the charity “Svići u Mraku” (Lights in the Dark).
Be humane. Be human.
Help those who wander in the dark — perhaps your light will become their guiding path.
For a long time, one question had been weighing on my mind — what did it truly mean to be human?
Was it offering help when we could, or doing so even when it was hardest — when we didn’t even know how?
What was it within us that decided whom we would reach out to, and whom we would turn away from?
How did we choose the way, the moment, and the measure?
Being human might have seemed simple, yet that was where its true greatness lay.
It was an act that asked for little, yet gave the most — a sense of meaning, deep fulfillment, and a quiet acknowledgment that wasn’t seen, but deeply felt.
When we helped others, we also transformed ourselves. We expanded our own boundaries and changed the way we saw the world — consciously or not. And that, in itself, was a true privilege.
